Kaye and Garyth Walpole formed Stagecoach Theatre Company in 1981 and were hoping to perform eight shows for tourists around the Geelong area. They recieved an offer to perform at The Stables Restaurant in Torquay (Victoria) and stayed there for 3 years before moving to Geelong and opening Stagecoach Theatre Restaurant in 1984.
